Dr. Susan Brooks L.Ac., DACM

Susan received her Masters in Oriental Medicine from the Dallas College of Oriental Medicine with 3000 hours of instruction and 167 credit hours. She then received her doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with a focus on Integrative Medicine from Pacific College of Health Sciences (formerly known as Pacific College of Oriental Medicine). She is licensed by the state of Texas to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology

Susan is certified as a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (NCCAOM). Susan also had the honor and privilege of privately interning for 3 years with a highly respected Medical Doctor from China, whose specialty is infertility and women’s health. Her great teacher taught her many things about TCM( Traditional Chinese Medicine) that she did not learn in school. In this very successful clinic she was fortunate enough to fine tune her skills in Herbology and Internal Medicine and many other areas of clinical cases.

​Susan also received a BA from the University of Texas at Austin and has additional training as a hypnotherapist. She worked in an extremely busy hypnosis clinic and has performed thousands of sessions. She is also certified to teach HypnoBirthing “The Mongan Method”. She has worked with mothers using acupuncture for labor induction and post-partum health issues.  

​Cosmetic Acupuncture and The Balance Method of pain control are two other methods Susan is trained and experienced in. She is also trained in needle-less Acupuncture utilizing laser therapy, auricular therapy, pulsar pen therapy, and electro-stimulation therapy.

​She has extensive knowledge of nutrition and has studied holistic nutrition through Standard Process. She has experience in cellular detox methods for ridding the body of toxins and achieving a higher level of health.
